40 Acre Rock Fall Hike

What a spectacular day at Forty Acre Rock! We are grateful for the opportunity to lead our first hike with 3SE Adventures, and Forty Acre Rock Heritage Preserve was the perfect inaugural place. We explored the granite outcrop, bottomland hardwood forest with its waterfall and awesome cave, the pine forest and the transition to Piedmont, and really took our time enjoying the special aspects of the Preserve, such as trees loaded with stunning Turkey Tail Mushrooms, all sizes of snails and cocoons nestled in leaf litter, Christmas Ferns, tree identification (see the beautiful bouquet of leaves and lichen) and so much more! It was a joyous day that we will cherish always, and we look forward to future adventures within our incredible community!
